Our academic day is from 7:30-3:30 and the extended care program is offered from 7:00am-5:30pm.

Are you a daycare or a preschool? What’s the difference?

Laugh N’ Discover EC/ PK is committed to offering a high quality, yet affordable accelerated preschool program. We believe that by enrolling your child at Laugh N’ Discover EC/PK, you become part of the community that shares the goal and responsibility of providing an enriching, nurturing experience for all children in the program. All parents are required to volunteer throughout the year. Examples of volunteers tasks may include:

• assisting in the classroom with special theme related activities

• classroom maintenance

• organizing and help with yearly fundraisers

• washing of classroom toys/supplies

Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

It is our goal to keep each child with a food allergy safe and to honor identified food restrictions to best of our ability. The teachers will post all food allergies in the classroom in clear view along with the child’s photo. In order to best meet the children’s special dietary needs, it is essential that the center staff and parents work closely together. Parents should discuss it with the Director and the child’s teachers upon enrollment. Parents must submit written documentation with specific guidelines for addressing each special type of dietary need and food allergy.

Will my child leave prepared for Kindergarten after attending Laugh N’ Discover EC/PK?

 Graduates of Laugh N’ Discover EC/PK move on to a variety of public and private schools. Students leave our preschool and perform above their peers academically, socially and developmentally.

All persons picking up or dropping off MUST be listed on the designated authorization form. Please notify us at least 15 minutes in advance if arrival is after 8:30am. When picking up, ensure that all authorized persons are at least 18 years of age and can provide photo identification. ALL pickups after 5:30pm, will consequently result in late fees.

What should I do if my child is sick?

If a child arrives with symptoms of illness, the child will not be permitted to stay. Children will be excluded from contact with the other children; seated with the staff at the front desk until parents can be notified. Please notify us if your child becomes ill and will not be attending that day. We ask that parents notify us when their child contracts a communicable disease. The preschool will notify all other parents about any communicable disease outbreaks while maintaining the child’s anonymity.
